JAMES, Benton E. - Putnam

Benton E. James, died at his home in Parkersburg Friday evening. Funeral services were held at Parkersburg Christian church Monday afternoon, with burial in LaFollette cemetery. Born in Parkersburg, March 10, 1856, the son of Jonathan and Lydia James. He married Laura Nicholas September 7, 1879. Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Miller of Parkersburg and Mrs. Amanda Pyle of Clinton and two sons; Hertley of Crawfordsville and Carl of Rockville   -- thanks so very much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection - greatly appreciated.
