ROACHDALE - George Dale Iuppenlatz, 94, retired railroader and insurance agent, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. He had been ill the last two months. Mr. Iuppenlatz retired in December, 1949, after 58½ years with the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He also was an insurance salesman for 55 years. Born April 4, 1875, at St. Paul, Ind., he was a son of Henry and Amanda Mount Iuppenlatz. He was married to Zelma Job on Sept. 29, 1897, in Roachdale. He was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge and a charter member of the Lions Club here. Surviving are a son, Clelland of Redlands, Calif.; a daughter, Kathleen Penn of Palm Beach, Fla., and three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian Church, where the body will be taken at 1 p.m. to lie in state. Rev. Ray Britton will be the minister, and interment will be in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at Perkins Funeral Home.   -- jlr
