IRWIN, Lula - Putnam

Mrs. Lula Ann Irwin, 81 years old, 43 North Fourth Street died at 2:55 o’clock Sunday afternoon at Union Hospital. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church near Greencastle and the Golden Age Club of Terre Haute.  Surviving are the husband, Oscar, two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Cox of New Goshen and Mrs. Mae Easter at home; a brother, Alger Leatherman of Greencastle; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Toney of Groveland; five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The body was taken to the Thomas Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 o’clock Monday evening and where services will be at 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon with Selby Fisher officiating.  Continued services will be conducted at the Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle at 11 o’clock Wednesday morning with JH Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery near Greencastle. – kbz
