IRWIN, Byron - Putnam

Byron C. Irwin, of 121 E. Altgeld St died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at home after an illness of a year.  He was born in Greencastle and came to South Bend 35 years ago from there.  In 1937, in Greencastle, he married Florice Ladd, who survives. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Gertrude Dalby of Greencastle. Today the body will be taken to the Whitaker Funeral Home, Greencastle where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wed with Rev. Stanley Nichol, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Greencastle. He had been a retired Studebaker Corp employee; a member of St. Joseph Lodge No 875, Free and Accept Mason; a member of Scottish Rite Bodies of South Bend and a member of Orak Temple, Hammond.  - kbz
