Mrs. Andora Hostetter Hyten, 83, died Monday at 2:30 a.m. at the Craver Nursing Home in Greencastle where she had been a patient for about a year. Her illness covered a span of several years. Born in the Whitesville neighborhood, July 31, 1869, Mrs. Hyten was the daughter of Simon and Catherine Goodbar Hostetter. On November 1, 1888, she was married to Dickerson Hyten who died July 29, 1924. She was a member of the Raccoon Methodist Church and had spent most of her life in the Roachdale community. Survivors include a brother, Eston Hostetter of Crawfordsville, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Chastain Funeral HOme in Roachdale. Burial will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home.
