Milton Theodore Hylton died at his residence in Whitesville on Saturday night March 19th of consumption. He was born in Putnam County in 1855; at the age of 17, his father died, soon after his father’s death he and his mother and younger brother and sister moved to Montgomery County where he has resided every since. In 1880 his sister died of consumption and in 1883 his mother died and in 1885 his brother died of the same disease. In 1880 he was married to Miss Ida Gunkle of near Whitesville. He leaves a widow and two sons to mourn his loss, but their loss is his eternal gain. He was a faithful husband, a kind father and an honest citizen. He was a faithful member of Detective Association for 10 years and had won the highest esteem and respect of all who knew him. His funeral services were held at the Universalist church on Monday, Rev. Fosher officiating, the remains were interred in the Ladoga Cemetery.
