C. L. HUTCHINS, OF ROACHDALE, DEAD WELL-KNOWN RESIDENT SUCCUMBS AFTER A LENGTHY ILLNESS
C. L. Hutchins, well-known local resident, died at his home here Tuesday night at ten o'clock following a three years' illness. Death was due to arteriosclerosis.
The deceased was born April 22, 1860, in Bowersville, Ohio, the son of George and Rebecca Hutchins. On June 14, 1883 he was married to Caroline Osborne Hutchins: Caroline Belle Osborn;.
He came to this community when ten years of age. After teaching school for a time, Mr. Hutchins devoted himself to farming, and became one of the best known men in the community. He was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian church.
Surviving him are his widow, six children, Ruth, at home, Mrs. Lenora Sillery, Osborn and Eugene Hutchins, all of Hillsboro, George, of Crawfordsville, and Harold, of New York City; one brother, Foster, of Indianapolis, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two-thirty o'clock at the Roachdale Presbyterian church, with the Reverend Ragan, of Ladoga, in charge. The casket will be open at the church from one o'clock until two-twenty o'clock p. m. Burial will be in the Roachdale cemetery.
