Dr. Henry A. Hutcheson, 49 years old, died yesterday morning at St. Vincent’s Hospital following an operation Sunday night for appendicitis. He had been sick about a week. Dr. Hutcheson was born in Putnam County near Greencastle, Ind, Nov 29, 1873. He attended DePauw University, Central Normal College at Danville and later Indiana Medical School at Indianapolis, graduating in the class of 1903. Since then he has practiced medicine at 2208 E. Washington Street, living at Oaklandon, Ind. He also taught bandaging and surgical dressing in Indiana Medical College for a number of years. Dr. Hutcheson was also one of the founders of the summer mission colony at Fairview Park and was for more than 20 years active in giving it his professional attention. Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Nellie Brown Hutcheson; a son, Dudley Milton Hutcheson; his father, AD Hutcheson; three brothers, Dr. PS Hutcheson of Oaklandon; Oscar Hutcheson and Otto Hutcheson of Greencastle, Ind and three sisters, Mrs. Oscar Girton; Mrs. Ray Girgon and Mrs. Lucy Chew all of Greencastle, Ind. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Downey Avenue Christian Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. - kbz
