HURST, Walter - Putnam

Word was received here Wednesday announcing the sudden death of Walter Hurst of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Mt. Meridian in some town in Wisconsin. The news was telephoned here from Indianapolis and the name of the town was not given. Mr. Hurst who was 40 years old, fell in a hotel and was dead before medical aid could be summoned. The exact cause of his death was not given. It is believed, however that heart disease caused his death. Mr. Hurst, who was a son of the late Martin Hurst of Mt. Meredian had been employed by the Troy Wagon Works of Troy, Ohio for several years and he was out on business for his firm when death occurred. His brother, Lawrence Hurst of Indianapolis and uncle, James Hurst of Greencastle left Wednesday night for Wisconsin to accompany the body to Greencastle. It is believed that the body will reach here Friday noon.  Mr. Hurst leaves a widow and four children who reside in Columbus, Ohio.  The widow and children probably will arrive here today.
