HURON, Aaron - Putnam

Death has again entered the university and taken Aaron T. Huron, a member of the class of ’96 and member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.  Mr. Huron has been sick with pneumonia for two weeks at the Phi Psi chapter house. Saturday he was much better and recovering from the attack nicely but Saturday night he was seized with a congestive chill and began to sink rapidly. His uncle, Dr. ST Huron of Danville was in the city and has tended his bedside. Sunday morning at 9:45 o’clock, Mr. Huron passed over the dark river of death. His parents of Topeka Kansas were informed of his death and his remains will be shipped today to that city. Mr. Huron was 21 years old. He was much beloved and respected by his fellow students. Funeral services were held at College Avenue Church this morning at 11:30 and from the church the remains were taken to the Vandalia Depot. Dr. HA Gobin and Mr. Geo. Lockwood, members of the fraternity will accompany the remains to Topeka. - kbz
