HUMPHREY, Earl - Putnam

Earl Humphrey, 85, Elizabeth Street, Greencastle, passed away Thursday at Putnam County Hospital. He was born June 17, 1892 in Putnam County, the son of Milton and Dora Humphrey.

Mr. Humphrey was retired from the LaFrance Stone Quarry. Survivors include a son, Earl Keith Humphrey, Greencastle; and six daughters, Virginia Crowe, Phyllis York, and Norvetta Rogers, all of Greencastle; Coleen Hayes, Crawfordsville; June Wethington, Wingate; and Mabel Humphrey, Indianapolis. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Pearl Humphrey.

Services are scheduled for 2 p. m. Saturday from the Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Burial will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call 2-9 p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
