HUGHES, James G. - Putnam

James G. Hughes, 85, Indianapolis died Thursday. He was a retired Greencastle attorney.  He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Greencastle. Mr. Hughes was a 1934 graduate of the Indiana University School of Law.  Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the church.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. Memorial contributions may be made to DePauw University or the Nature Conservancy.  He was the widower of Jane Zahner Hughes. Survivors: son James E. Hughes; daughter Jane Hughes Carlson; six grandchildren.  Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle is handling arrangements. – kbz
