HUFFMAN, Elizabeth Chadd - Putnam

Elizabeth Pearl Huffman 104 died Monday at Greencastle Nursing Home.  Born Oct 15, 1882 in Putnam County she was the daughter of Thomas and Amanda (Browning0 Chadd. She married Jacob Huffman in 1900.  He preceded his wife in death in 1973. Mrs. Huffman was a homemaker. She was active in the American Red Cross during World War II. She headed the division that made sweaters, socks, gloves, etc. Mr. Huffman attended the Fillmore Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Hurtha Ruark, and a son, Jacob R both of College Corner, Ohio. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers and her parents. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fillmore cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Persons who wish may make contributions to the Fillmore Christian Church. – kbz
