MARY ROGERS HUBBARD was born in Putnam County, Ind. Dec. 21, 1825, died March 16, 1895, aged 68 years, 2 months and 25 days. She died at the home of her son, DAVID HUBBARD, in Eden Township. Her health had been failing for several years. She tried to bear her suffering patiently. She was married to ELIJAH HUBBARD in the year 1849, moved with her husband to Decatur County, Iowa in 1856, where she spent the most of her life.
She leaves three sons to mourn her loss and many sympathizing friends. Two of her children and also her husband passed away some years ago. The funeral was largely attended. Her remains were laid to rest in the Eden Cemetery.
