Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro for Paul W. Hovermale, 66, of Mellott. He died about noon Friday, Feb. 25, 1977, at his home.
The Rev. Robert Boyd officiated, with burial in Russellville Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Hovermale worked as a finisher in the extrusion department at the Alcoa Co. in Lafayette until his retirement in 1973.
He was a member of the Russellville United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Crawfordsville. He was a graduate of Russellville High School.

Paul E. Hovermale, 63 of Mellott, died Friday Feb. 25, 1977 at his home. He had been in failing health several years. Mr. Hovermale retired in 1973 from the Alcoa Co. in Lafayette. Born Nov. 20, 1910 at Russellville, IN., he was the son of Thomas and Jessie Hovermale. He married Frances A Payton, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. David (Lucy) Mitchell of Newtown, IN., and Mrs. Gerry (Nancy) Riley of Mellott, and five grandchildren. tch
