HOPKINS, Elizabeth 1892 - Putnam

Died Feb 2, 1892 at her home, one mile southeast of Alamo, of consumption.  Mrs. Elizabeth Hopkins. The deceased leaves two daughters, two brother and many friends to mourn her loss.  She was aged 46 years 2 months 23 days. She was converted in 1865.  The funeral took place at Alamo on March 1; her remains were taken to the ME Church and after a very appropriate funeral discourse by Rev. McDaniel of Yountsville, the remains were taken to the cemetery where her body of clay was laid to rest; her soul returned to its Maker. Just before she departed from this world she called her friends to her bedside, bid them all farewell and then fell into a quiet slumber to awake in that heavenly rest. Some few days before she left this world she said she hated to leave us all but the Lord’s will not hers be done… KBZ
