The death of Miss Grace Hootman age 29 years 11 months, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. AM Hootman occurred at 11 o’clock Monday morning at the home of her parents in this city, following an illness of three years of tuberculosis.  Besides her parents, Miss Hootman leaves two brothers, Millard C. Hootman of Dallas, Texas and Harold Hootman of this city and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Themeyer of Memphis, Tenn and Mrs. William Reddick of New York. Funeral services will be held at the Christian Church on Wednesday morning at 11:30 o’clock conducted by Rev. Levi Marshall and Rev. CU Wade. The body will be removed to Union City at 1:45 o’clock on the Big Four for burial in the family burial grounds. Miss Hootman is a graduate of South Bend HS and a student at Winona, Wisconsin University and Cornell University. She taught three years in the schools of Greencastle.  Until she was forced to give up her school work because of ill health.  Miss Hootman was a young woman of much ability and a charming disposition. - kbz

Mrs. William Reddick, who was called here by the illness and death of her sister, Miss Grace Hootman, will leave tomorrow for her home in New York City. – Miss Lois Shouse who came to the funeral of Miss Grace Hootman left today for her home in Indianapolis. - ikz
