Roachdale, March 16 – The death of Mrs. Wilfred Hood of this place on Sunday afternoon is a shock to the entire community. The neighbors feel that it is their Christian duty to help the father take care of “Little Mary” and her four little brothers and one sister. Mrs. Hood leaves a baby girl about 10 days old.  The funeral will be held at their home on the Roscoe Smythe farm at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning and interment will be made in the cemetery near here.  About two months ago Mrs. Hood’s mother died at his home of pneumonia. - kbz
