Margaret Hodshire Dies In Home Here
Mrs. Margaret M. Hodshire, 86, widow of Samuel H. Hodshire, died at 11 p. m. Monday in the Bernice Voris home here. She had been in failing health several years and bedfast 20 months.
Born Nov. 9, 1869, in Parke County, Mrs. Hodshire was the daughter of William and Mary Grimes. In early girlhood she affiliated with the Christian Church of Russellville.
Mr. and Mrs. Hodshire were married Sept. 13, 1891. Three sons and two daughters were born to this union. Her husband died in June 1923.
Surviving are the three sons, Everett Hodshire of Shelbyville, and Walter and Jesse Hodshire, both of Indianapolis; the daughters, Mrs. Edgar Jones and Mrs. Earl Whitlock, both of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, Harold Whitlock of Wilmington, Del., and Peggy Morris of Indianapolis, and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Rev. Fredrick Grimes and Arthur Grimes, both of California; James Grimes of Wisconsin and Charles Grimes of Russellville.
In addition to the husband, one brother, Oscar Grimes, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Randal Lookabill of Kokomo will be the officiating minister. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Death Takes Mrs. Hodshire
Mrs. Margaret Hodshire, 86, passed away in Crawfordsville Monday.
Mrs. Hodshire was a member of the Russellville Christian church.
Survivors are: three sons, Everette, of Shelbyville, Walter and Jesse of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar M. Jones, and Mrs. Earl A. Whitlock, Crawfordsville, four brothers, Rev. Frederick Grimes, Arthur Grimes, California, James of Wisconsin, and Charles of Russellville.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:00 p. m. from the Hunt & Sons Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Rev. Randal Lookabill conducted the service. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Crawfordsville.
