HIXON, Fred W. - Putnam

A former pastor of the Centenary Methodist Church of this city, Dr. Fred W. Hixon, died at his home in Meadville, PA after a two weeks’ illness. At the time of his death he was president of Allegheny college.  He lacked only one day of being 50 years old.  Surviving are the widow and two sons, Jerome Hixon, 22 and Robert Hixon, 16. During his lifetime he had been pastor of some of the largest churched in Indianapolis and had been president of Chattanooga College. - kbz
