The funeral for Jack Hinkle, 84, formerly of Ladoga, was held July 6 in La Mirada, Calif., where he had lived since leaving Ladoga three years ago. Mr. Hinkle, the son of Reuben and Mary Grantham Hinkle, was a member of the Christian Science Church and of the Masonic Lodge at Ladoga. He had organized the St. Julian acrobatic troupe which traveled throughout the country, and he later worked as a steam-fitter in Indianapolis until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter, Mrs. Jacqueline Grater, formerly of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Arrangements are being made by the Gephart Funeral Home for burial in the Hartman Cemetery near Fincastle. - kbz
