HILL, Harold V. - Putnam

Harold V. Hill, 80, 309 Sycamore St., Greencastle, died Sunday evening at Putnam County Hospital. Born Aug. 26, 1904 in Greencastle, he was the son of Robert W. and Ida Margaret (Harris) Hill. Mr. Hill was employed for several years at the Greencastle Zinc Mill. He was a member of the Deer Creek Coon Hunters Association and the Putnam County Senior Center. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Billie Vaughn and Mrs. Margie A. Torr, both of Greencastle; five brothers, Raymond R; James W; Norman C and Ernest A, all of Greencastle and Paul K, Plainfield and 13 nieces and nephews.  Mr. Hill was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H. who died in 1943.  Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bittles and Hart Funeral Home, Greencastle with Dr. C Thomas Stainer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. – kbz
