HIGGINS, Reuben - WWI

Reuben Roy Higgins, age 60 years died at the Veterans’ Hospital in Indianapolis Sunday. He had been a patient in the hospital for the past week.  Mr. Higgins resided on Rural Route 2, south of the city.  He was formerly employed at the Lone Star Cement Co and had spent most of his life in this community where he was well known.  He was a veteran of WWI and a member of the American Legion Post No 56.  Survivors are the widow, Rose; his father, James Higgins; one brother, Frank and one sister, Mrs. Monroe Fidler.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 o’clock DST, from the Rector Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.  Members of the American Legion Post will act as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home.
