Flaud M. Hicks, 91, of 505 E. Washington St., Attica died Tuesday Jan. 4, 1977 in Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been ill five years. Born Sept. 22, 1885, at Tangier he was the son of Joseph and Arminda Brooks Hicks. He was married Dec. 23, 1908, at Greencastle to Bertha Goddard, who died Aug. 28, 1967. A former Parke County resident, he had resided in Attica since 1935. Mr. Hicks had attended school at Howard. A Shell Oil Co. bulk plant distributor, he had retired in 1950. Mr. Hicks was a member of the Fairview United Brethren Church in Tangier. Survivors include a grandson, Ronald Hicks of Muncie; a great grandson, Jeffrey Hicks of Kingman, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son. Services will be at 10 a. m. EST Friday at the Dale Maus Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery at Harveysburg. - jlr
