Funeral services for Ida Kennedy Hester, 77, who died Sunday at Russellville, were held at the Russellville Ferated church on Tuesday. Mrs. Hester was born in Putnam county April 18, 1866, a daughter of John and Margaret Kennedy. She married first to John H. Hester, then she second married April 1935, to James Hester, who survives. Survivors besides the husband are daughters, Mrs. Florene Liddle, Browns Valley, Mrs. Etta Friend, Crawfordsville, Mrs. May Miles, New Market; sons; Paul, Russellville, Lawrence, Browns Valley, Clarence, Morton, Claude, Crawfordsville and Roy, New Market, twenty one grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Burial was made in Russellville cemetery. Mrs. Ida HESTER a life long resident of Russellville and active church worker and mother of 11 children passed to her reward Sunday May 16 at 2:25 a.m. She is survived by her second husband James Hester and 8 children and 22 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Russellville Federated Church by the pastor Rev. Lester BICKETT assisted by Rev CN McBrayer. Burial in the local cemetery.
