HEROD, Susan E. Allen Collins Collins - Putnam

Mrs. Susan E. Herold, 87, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Don McLean in Greencastle. Born April 15, 1850 in Lawrence Co, the daughter of Theodric and Mary Allen of Cloverdale. She is survived by three children; Mrs. William D. Hurst, of Franklin, Mrs. Nota D. Howell of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. McLean; a sister; Miss. Mary Allen of Terre Haute, four stepchildren; Mrs. E. M. Hurst of Cloverdale, Arthur Herod of Bainbridge, Mrs. Charles Kennedy of Coatesville and Mrs. Ora Fox of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late C.C. Collins. funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Greencastle, with internment in Cloverdale cemetery. She is preceded in death by husbands, John W. Collins, Whitfield Collins, Johnson Herod, a son Clement C.
