HENSLEY, Newton - Putnam

Funeral services for Newton Hensley, 64, of 1601 S. Penn St, who died Thursday night at his home will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the Right Reverend Monsignor Felix Seroczyski in charge. Friends may call at the Meeks mortuary any time Sunday.  Mr. Hensley was a native of Greencastle. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and the Eagles Lodge. Widely known in Muncie baseball circles he was a member of Shad Cunningham’s Muncie Athletics team.  Surviving are the widow, Stella; two daughters, Mrs. Calvin Pinnick of Muncie and Mrs. Owen Bell of Anderson; a son, Lester N. of Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Harry O’Neill of Muncie; a brother, HT Hensley of Terre Haute, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. – kbz
