Robert Fred Helm a farmer of near Russellville died suddenly Monday about 2 p.m. when he suffered a heart attack while working in a neighbor’s field. He was 75 years old. His death occurred on the farm of Clyde Switzer. Mr. Helms was born Sept 16, 1881 in Illinois, the son of Frank and Mennie White Helm. He was married Sept 30, 1903. He was a farmer his entire life and had lived in the Russellville community for 31 years. Surviving are the wife, Clara; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Burton of Decatur, Ill and Mrs. Gladys Harris of Newman, Ill and three brothers, Clyde and Ray Helm of Tuscola, Ill and Wayne Helm of Charleston Ill. He was preceded in death by a son, Courtland Helm in 1935. Funeral services will be at the McGaughey & Son Funeral Home in Russellville Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Dale Spencer officiating. Burial will be in the Russellville cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
