Greenfield, Ind – Services for
Albert W. Heavin, 68, principal at Fairmount HS for 15 years and former
Greenfield HS principal were conducted here today. Heavin, who also formerly
had been principal at Filmore and Bainbridge, died Sunday at Lilly Clinic,
Indianapolis. A Putnam County native, he received his bachelor’s and master’s
degrees from Indiana University and law degree from Lincoln Law School,
Indianapolis. He was a WWII veteran and
member of the Masonic and Odd Fellows Lodges.
Survivors are widow Ruth; son Edwin, Columbus; sisters, Nellie Nichols,
Coatesville and Mary McCammack, Greencastle; brother, Frank, Greencastle and
two grandchildren. - kbz
