From the Crawfordsville Review of last week we take the following in regard to the death of Mrs. Mary J. Heath, wife of Col. David N. Heath of that city.  Mrs. Heath was once a resident of this city and was well known to many of our people:

"Another bright and beautiful spirit has taken its flight from earth, Mrs. Mary J. Heath, wife of Col. David N. Heath, died in this city at the residence of Mr. George W. Allen at 10 o'clock last Saturday evening.  She died of cancer.  Every remedy was sought--but the sting of death was fatal.  Her maiden name was Walker.  She was born in Boyle county, Ky., January 3, 1824.  Her fathers name was Harrison Walker, well known in old times in Culpepper county Va.  She married Col. D.N. Heath, on the 29th of September 1840.  They lived in Kentucky until 1861 when they moved to Greencastle, Ind., and returning south for a short time finally established their home in Crawfordsville.  She has left four daughters and one son, with the stricken father to mourn her loss, Her three daughters, Mrs. George W. Allen, Mrs. W.P. Carr, and Mrs. W.H. Lynn are well known in this community.  Her only son, James I. Heath resides in Illinois. – thanks to Kim H
