Mrs. Samuel A. Hazlett, a former resident of Albany, passed away at her home in Greencastle, Ind on Dec 23 after an illness of several months. She was 72 years of age at the time of her death.  Urana Helen, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ephriam Tuttle was born in Licking County, Ohio on June 2, 1858.  Her parents moved to Albany in Oct 1865 where she grew up and obtained her education.  Her mother having died when she was 10 years of age and an older sister when she was 15, she was left as housekeeper for her father and two younger sisters.  At the age of 17 she began teaching school in Alanthus and went later to Albany HS. She was married to Samuel Hazelett in Albany on April 26, 1877 and moved to Greencastle in 1882.  She is survived by her husband and the following children: Richard M. of Marion, Ind; Earl T. of Phoenix, Ariz; Samuel J. of St. Louis, Lawrence of Appleton, Ky and Clarence of Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Hazelett will be remembered by some of the older residents of Albany and community and they will be sorry to hear of her passing. - kbz
