Mrs. Cora Bell Hazlett, widow Samuel
Colin Hazlett, died Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joe Van Huff in
Judson. Her death was attributed to a heart attack. She had been ill all
winter. Born April 3, 1869 in Putnam County, Mrs. Hazlett was the daughter of
James and Lucinda Thompson. She was married in December, 1885. Mr. Hazlett died
in 1923. Mr. and Mrs. Hazlett spent their entire married life in Clark County.
Surviving in addition to the daughter at whose home she died are another
daughter, Mrs. Ralph Ramsay of Bainbridge; 8 grandchildren; 19 great
grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Russellville
Federated Church in charge of Rev. Ralph D. Spencer. The body will lie in state
at the church for one hour preceding the services. Burial will be in Portland Mills Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects at the McGaughey & Son Mortuary in
Russellville until 1 p.m. Sunday. - kbz
