HAYS, Louis - Putnam

Greencastle, Ind Sept 11 – Last rites will be conducted here tomorrow afternoon for Louis F. Hays, 49-year-old Greencastle business leader who died after a long illness. After graduating from DePauw University, Mr. Hays taught in Romney HS before joining his father, the late Frank A. Hays in the mercantile business here. He served 18 months with Company C, 10th US Infantry during the World War.  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Jane Farmer Hays; one brother, Alfred R. Hays of Lafayette and two sisters, Mrs. Flora Bigger of Housten, Tex and Mrs. Olive Turk of this city. – kbz
