HAYS, Carrie - Putnam

Greencastle, Ind Jan 5 – Last rites for Mrs. Carrie W. Hays, 72 years old, prominent local woman will be held tomorrow afternoon. She died yesterday of pneumonia developing from a fall in which she suffered a fractured hip.  Mrs. Hays, a graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music was organist in the Christian and Methodist Churches here 39 years. She was a sister of the late Jesse W. Weik, noted Lincoln biography and close friend of Albert J. Beveridge – kbz
