DARLINGTON--Thomas Harvey, retired farmer and schoolteacher, died at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. He was 90 years old.

Mr. Harvey taught school in Putnam County for 40 years in addition to his farming operation. He had been a Darlington resident for the last nine years.

He was born on Dec. 22, 1876, in Putnam County, the son of Thomas and Margaret Harvey. On July 16, 1899, he married Nellie Williamson who preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sons, Fred Harvey of Wilmington, Del., and George Harvey of Detroit; three daughters, Helen Norton of Indianapolis and Irene Booher and Lena McClelland, both of Darlington; a sister, Dora Volderauer of Greencastle, and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Perkins Funeral Home at Roachdale. Burial will be in the Brick Chapel Cemetery five miles north of Greencastle. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday.   ---typed by Walt W

Funeral services were conducted for Thomas Harvey, 90, of Roachdale with burial in Brick Chapel Cemetery. He resided in Darlington nine years. He was a retired farmer and school teacher. He was born in Putnam County and married Nellie Williamson in 1899.  He taught school in Putnam County for 40 years.  He is survived by two sons, Fred of Wilmington, Del and George of Detroit; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Norton of Indianapolis, Mrs. Byron Booher and Mrs. Tom McClelland of Darlington and sister, Mrs. Dora Volderauer of Greencastle.
