The death of the Rev. David Hartsock, a former Greencastle citizen occurred Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in Quincy, Ind. Mr. Hartsock, who for months has been a sufferer of dropsy was seated in a chair in the Duncan store when he was attacked with fatal heart trouble. His death resulted in a few seconds after he was stricken. Mr. Hartsock was a resident of Greencastle for several years, residing on South Indiana street. While here he was in the real estate and insurance business. His son, who attended DePauw, later started to practice medicine in Indianapolis and Mrs. Hartsock removed to that city where he continued in the real estate and insurance business. A few months ago his health became so bad that he went to Spencer, his boyhood home to live with his brother Charles Hartsock who lives about three miles southeast of that town. – kz
