Ladoga - John A. Harshbarger, 85, died at 11 p.m. Thursday (Aug 9) in the Logansport Hospital. Born April 21, 1877 east of Ladoga, he was the son of William R. and Anna Peffley Harshbarger. He married Lillus Lidikay on Thanksgiving Day, 1900 in the Lidikay residence at Ladoga. His wife died 5 weeks ago. Harshbarger was a member of the Church of the Brethren, northwest of Ladoga. He and his wife lived in Ladoga all their lives. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Sprinkle of Muncie; a son Albert of Bainbridge and a brother, Frank of Long Beach, Calif. Three grandsons and three great grandchildren survive. Funeral services will be at Gephart Funeral Home, Ladoga Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Burial in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday. - kbz
