Ladoga, March 16 Mrs. Hattie HARRIS, wife of Elmer Harris living 8 miles NE of here, died in Indianapolis this morning at 1:30. Mrs. Harris had been operated upon at the Deaconess Hospital in Indianapolis for appendicitis last Saturday, contracted double pneumonia and in her weakened condition was not able to fight the disease. She was 40 and was born in Ky, but has lived in this county some time. She was married 20 years ago and leaves a husband and 6 children, besides her mother and several sisters. Those surviving are the mother, Mrs. Fannie Miller; the six children, Edith, Mable, Dortha, Mary, Philip and Juanita; also 3 sisters, Mrs. Maggie Mayhall of Indianapolis; Mrs. Doss Lawson of Fillmore and Mrs. Sallie Wicksis of North Salem. No arrangements have been made for the funeral. Mrs. Harris' body was brought here from Indianapolis last night. --- kbz
