April 27 – Evan J. Harris, a wealthy resident of Helena since 1864, was found
on the street Sunday and died a few hours later. It is believed he was knocked down by some
young man with whom he was conversing. The coroner is investigating. He was
born in Putnam County, Indiana in 1844.
