Brazil, Ind April 11 – Albert L. Harris, 69 years old, retired custodian of the City Hall, died Tuesday at an Evansville hospital following a long illness. Custodian of the City Hall during Mayor CM Wilson’s term of office, Harris retired because of ill health in 1946. Coming to Brazil in 1920 from Putnam County, he also had operated a service station here. He was a member of the Epworth Methodist Church and Brazil Lodge No 264 F&AM. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Nelle Harris; a sister, Mrs. Emma Hamm of Brazil and two brothers, J. Fred Harris of Brazil and Charles Harris of Reelsville. The body was brought to the Lawson & Son Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, the Rev. Robert Shanklin officiating. Burial will be in Croy’s Creek Cemetery.
