Not dead but sleeping, Cora B. Harriman fell asleep in Jesus about 9 o'clock Sunday morning March 9, 1913; aged 23 years 4 months 25 days. Cora was married on Ester Sunday April 11, 1909 to Matthew Harriman.  They at once went to housekeeping at Brazil where they have lived until death called her away. To this union was born on Saturday, March 1, 1913 a daughter.  Cora was a kind and dutiful wife, a gentle and loving sister and daughter. She joined the Antioch Christian Church at Hamrick in 1905, under Rev Brown and has lived a true and faithful Christian life ever since always being ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.   To know her was to love her. Today everyone is inexpressibly shocked to hear that, "Cora is gone from us."  While we know she cannot return to us we should strive to live such a life as will fit us to go home to her. Neither should we want to call her back to her suffering when we know that she is in a beautiful home where suffering is no more.  Yet it will always seem hard for us to know we cannot see her coming home as of old. There is another missing link in our home which can never be filled. She leaves to mourn her sad and sudden demise a father, mother, husband, one daughter, three brothers - Albert, Clarence and Lee; one sister, Edith, besides a host of other relatives and friends.  Sad it was for us sadder still to know we could not be to look upon her cold in death but with her during her short illness.  While we know that all was done for her that loving hands could do but all wa sin vain God had spoken to her to come up higher.   --- kbz
