HARDIN, John - Putnam

– John Hardin, 67, retired Ladoga businessman expired of complications following a six months’ illness at 7 o’clock Thursday evening at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. Mr. Hardin had resided at the l\Ladoga Hotel for the past 26 years. The deceased, together with his father, operated a flour mill for a number of years at Ladoga.  Mr. Hardin was taken to the hospital two weeks ago and last Tuesday underwent an operation for kidney stones.  Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mollie Pence of Mecca; eight nieces, including Mrs. Urban Morrison of Ladoga; a stepsister, Miss Grace Peffley of Ladoga and two nephews.  - kbz
