Nancy Ann Hanna, 80-year-old ex-schoolteacher, died at her home, 306 High street, at 5 o'clock Saturday morning after an illness of a year with a complication of ailments. Miss Hanna died in the home she had occupied for the past 62 years. She was born September 5, 1861 at Russellville, the daughter of Willliam G. and Jane Walden Hanna. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian church and of the Order of Eastern Star. From 1891 until 1906 she was a teacher in the Mills school, and she also taught for a number of years at Waveland and in Franklin township. She is survived by one nephew, Harold Hanna, of this city. Her parents, one brother, Edward E. Hanna and one sister, Leila Hanna Canine, preceded her in death. The body was taken to the Hunt & Son funeral home where friends may call until Sunday morning. At that time the body will be removed to the home on High street where the funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, in charge of Rev. R.G. Riemann. Burial will be made at the Masonic cemetery. - thanks so much to Sue P :)
