HANNA, Adam P.

This well known former citizen of Waveland died at his home in Shelbyville on Friday and was buried at Crawfordsville Monday. A short service was held at the Baptist Church by Rev. Mr. Spear of Shelbyville. Mr. Hanna was born on the James Todd place 73 years ago and was the son of James Hanna. After growing up on the farm, he went into the lumber business in Crawfordsville. While there he married Miss Francis Baldwin. They afterwards moved to the farm north of town which was their home until they moved to Waveland a few years ago. Two years ago they moved to Shelbyville. Mr. Hanna has been in poor health for some years and was literally almost entirely paralyzed. Miss Sara is the only living child and __ __  at Crawfordsville.  Mrs. David Neese, a sister, George Hanna of Greencastle and Thomas Hanna of Springfield, Mo are brothers.  Two brothers __ and Robert were killed at ___ Ridge and are buried in the same grave at ___ (Freedom?).  Mr. Hanna was very ___ in the __  and was that party __ date for Secretary of State. Among those attending the funeral were IC Carter of Shelbyville, Mr. Demaree, editor of the Franketh ? Star, John Machledt of Indianapolis; Miss Lucy Hesler of Logansport, Mr. and Mrs. George Hanna, WS Grubb ? Thomas Rae, Ed Milligan, Robert Kehoe ? Mrs. AC Evans and Miss Mary ?? of Waveland, Mr. and Mrs. Loris McGaughey of Russellville. – kbz (sorry very dim and hard to type)
