HANDY, Edith Trees - Putnam

Mrs. Edith Alice Trees Handy, age 83 years, passed away at her home Sunday evening, following an extended illness. Mrs. Handy was born September 22, 1871 in Warington, Hancock county, the daughter of Dr. James and Margaret Ann Trees. She was married June 23, 1893 to Wilson T. Handy. She was a member of the First Christian church of this city, also Veronica Club and the Monday Club. Survivors are three sons, Bernard and Wilson of Greencastle. and Garold of Houston, Texas: two granddaughters and one grandson, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Rector Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. – kbz
