George E. “Rusty” Hall, 78, died Tuesday at Queen of the Valley Hospital after a brief illness.  Mr. Hall was born Feb 15, 1909 in Cloverdale to George and Jeanette Hall.  He moved to the Napa Valley in 1919, graduated from Napa HS in 1927 and except for working at Mare Island during WWII spent most of his life as a rancher and vinter (wine seller) in the Valley.  Mr. Hall was an avid hunter and fisher.  He was a longtime member of the Native Sons of the Golden West, St. Helena Parlor; Napa Elks Club and Yountville Volunteer Fireman.  He is survived by his wife, Marcia at Oakville; his son, Dennis Michael of Napa; three grandchildren and one nephew.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel, 623 Coombs St, Napa. The Rev. Michael Cleary of St. Apollinaris Catholic Church will officiate.  Interment will be at Tulocay Cemetery.  Visitation at the chapel is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
