Charles F. (Dollar Bill) Hall, 69, died at 4:45 o’clock this morning at his home, 4 Jackson Street where he had been bedfast the last three months. Mr. Hall was born Sept 5, 1883 at Greencastle, Ind, son of James W. and Rachael (Peppins) Hall. He came to Missouri as a child with his parents who established their home at Utica. He attended Utica school. Dec 12, 1911, he married Mattie Huston of Chillicothe. They established their home in Chillicothe where he worked for the Wabash railroad, did carpentry work and about 1922 went into the plumbing trade. He worked for the late CA Fish a number of years. He went into business for himself about 8 years ago. Surviving are his wife: five sons, James, William and Donald Hall of Chillicothe; Richard Hall, Corpus Christi, Tex and Charles Hall, Jr, Waterloo, Ia; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bench, Chillicothe and Mrs. Elizabeth Bertram, St. Joseph; 9 grandchildren 3 of whom make their homes with the grandparents; two stepchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Emmett Hall, Chillicothe and Elmer Hall, Hutchinson, Kans and a sister, Mrs. James Knott, Soldier, Kans. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Paul and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the chapel of the Gordon Home for funerals. Burial will be in the cemetery. – kbz
