Roachdale July 30 – Mrs. Amanda Sillery Hall, wife of Joshua Hall formerly of this place passed away Saturday evening at 7 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Fletcher at New Castle. Mr. and Mrs. Hall and daughter, Alta left here about two years ago and went to live with their daughter, Pearl. They were planning to move back to their home here about the first of March when Mrs. Hall’s health began to fail. A complication developed which resulted fatally. Mrs. Hall was about 66 years old. She was born in this neighborhood and lived here all her life except the past few years which were spent in Newcastle. Besides her husband, Mrs. Hall is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Fletcher of new Castle, Mrs. Ona Hooner ? of New Maysville and Miss Alta at home and one son, Harvey Hall at Bainbridge. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Will Carpenter of Terre Haute and two brothers, Charles Sillery of Carpentersville and Will Sillery of Greencastle. She is survived also by three grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body was taken to the home of her sons, Harvey Hall in Bainbridge Sunday evening. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at this place Tuesday at 10:30 Rev Leazenby of Crawfordsville had charge of the funeral service and burial was in the local cemetery.
