Hale - Effie Newlin - Putnam

Hale, Effie May Newlin, age 53, died in her home in Roachdale Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services was held Thursday afternoon at the Chastain Funeral Home, with burial in the Roachdale Cemetery.  Born 9 July 1891 in Vermillion Co., Illinois, she was the daughter of James D. and Martha Ramsay Newlin. She came to Roachdale in 1923 following her marriage to George J. Hale.  Surviving are the husband, the Mother, Mrs. Martha Newlin, three brothers Milo of Ridge Farm, Illinois; Roy of Reno, Nevada and George W. of Pontiac, Michigan; and a sister Mrs. Stella Baldwin of Hammond. -mw
