GWILLIAMS, Fred L. - Putnam

Fred L. GWILLIAMS, age 49 of near Russellville died at his home early Tuesday morning after a long illness, due to tuberculosis. Mr. Gwilliams has been seriously ill with the disease for the past 3 or 4 months and his death was expected. The deceased man was born in Putnam County and lived there practically his entire life. Mr. Gwilliams went to Florida and taught school for several years returning to Putnam County. He has lived in his present home about 18 years. He has been retired for the past two years. Mr. Gwilliams is survived by his wife, Laura and his son John. He also has a brother, John who lives in GA and two sisters, Ida Gwilliams of Florida and Mrs Maude Fordice of Russellville. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church at Russellville.
